At Lance Exteriors, we stand behind our work. Our moss prevention warranty is designed to give homeowners confidence that their roof is protected long after service is completed.
Please review the terms below.
1. Warranty Coverage
Our warranty covers moss regrowth on roof surfaces treated with our zinc sulfate moss prevention system.
If moss returns within the warranty period in treated areas, we will return and re-treat the affected sections at no additional cost.
Warranty coverage applies only to the areas serviced and documented at the time of treatment.
2. Warranty Length
Warranty duration will be specified on your invoice and service agreement.
Typical coverage ranges from 1 to 3 years, depending on roof condition, environment, and treatment level selected.
The warranty begins on the date of service completion.
3. What Is Covered
- Moss regrowth in treated areas
- Failure of properly applied zinc sulfate prevention
- Areas where at least 96% moss removal was achieved during initial service
4. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- New moss growth caused by structural issues (leaks, improper drainage, failing shingles)
- Areas not originally treated
- Roof sections modified or repaired after our service
- Damage caused by third parties
- Debris accumulation (leaves, branches, etc.) that creates new moss conditions
- Roofs with severe structural deterioration
- Act-of-nature events (windstorms, fallen trees, extreme weather)
This warranty covers moss regrowth only and does not cover roof replacement, shingle repair, plywood repair, or unrelated roofing issues.
5. Owner Responsibilities
To maintain warranty coverage, the homeowner must:
- Keep gutters and downspouts functioning properly
- Prevent heavy debris buildup on the roof
- Notify us promptly if moss regrowth appears
- Avoid applying additional chemical treatments without our approval
Failure to maintain proper drainage or roof conditions may void warranty coverage.
6. Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original homeowner listed on the service agreement unless otherwise specified in writing.
7. Inspection & Service Process
If you believe moss has returned during the warranty period:

- Provide photos if possible
- We will schedule an inspection
If moss regrowth qualifies under warranty terms, we will re-treat the affected area at no cost.
8. Limitation of Liability
Lance Exteriors, owned by L&C Home Services LLC, is not responsible for:
- Pre-existing roof damage
- Hidden structural defects
- Water intrusion unrelated to moss regrowth
- Incidental or consequential damages
Our maximum liability is limited to the original amount paid for moss prevention services.
9. Safety & Application Standards
All services are performed using roof-safe methods, including controlled brushing techniques and precision zinc sulfate application. Our technicians are manufacturer-trained in fall protection and safety procedures.
